CHILD of My HEART

Come away, come away
I will turn your night to day,
if you'll only come away with Me.
O My child, I love you so,
and I long for you to know;
Come away; come away with Me.


Verse 2

My Holy Word lay by your side
on that lonely night you cried,
and I called out "My child, I care";
But you opened not My book,
for you were afraid to look
out of fear that I may not be there.


Verse 3

You go your way from day to day,
seldom taking time to pray,
and I wait as very late you return.
Come and spend some time with Me,
I've many things for you to see,
For your heart and your love I yearn.


CHORUS

O child of Mine, little child of My Heart,
I am with you every hour of your day!
And through every lonely night,
you are always in my sight,
Hoping one day with Me you'll come away.
